2019 Sauvignon Blanc

SAUVIGNON BLANCComposition: 81% Sauvignon Blanc, 19% Semillon

Harvest: The grapes were hand harvested September 6, 2019 with 21 degrees average brix, 0.62total acidity, and 3.4pH

Fermentation: co-fermented in 100% stainless steel.

Organic: All fruit is organically grown in our estate vineyard.

The 2019 Sauvignon Blanc is a field blend of Sauvignon Blanc and Sémillon. The grapes
were hand harvested, whole cluster pressed and fermented cold and slow, resulting in a wine
with generous volatile aromas and flavors combined with a richly developed palate.

In the glass, the 2019 Sauvignon Blanc is a light straw color. The nose offers abundant
aromas of mandarin oranges, lemon blossom, and wet stone. In the mouth, the wine’s rich
texture and weight are showcased with aromas of green apple, melon, and delicate

Blended with 19% Sémillon co-fermented in stainless steel, this is from the producer’s estate in the eastern outskirts of the valley. Herbal legume, metal and stone are light in weight and style, with lovely, lasting flavors of green apple, apricot and tangerine.

2014 Cabernet Sauvignon

Volker Eisele Family Estate cabernet sauvignon

Composition: 78% Cabernet Sauvignon, 22% Merlot

Harvest: The Cabernet blocks were harvested in five separate passes mid October

Oak Aging: 22 months in 50% new French oak barrels from Treuil cooperage (i.e. Allier and Troncais).

Organic:  All fruit is organically grown in our estate vineyard.

The Volker Eisele Family Estate Cabernet Sauvignon is a blend of vineyard blocks from throughout the entire estate. Varying terrain, different clones, and different rootstocks produce a patchwork of flavor identities between the vineyard blocks and their resulting cuvees, brought together in a blend that is essentially a snapshot in time of a dynamic, ever-changing vineyard.

In the glass the 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon is a glowing deep garnet color, with clear ruby edges. The nose is a juicy, brambly mix of raspberries, blackberries, huckleberries and cocoa powder. In the mouth, the wine is richly layered with flavors of milk chocolate covered cherries, cassis, freshly roasted coffee. Supported by well-integrated sweet oak. The finish is broad, and flavors of clove and star anise linger. ~Molly Lyman, Winemaker

2016 Terzetto

terzetto bottleComposition: 1/3 Cabernet Sauvignon, 1/3 Cabernet Franc, 1/3 Merlot, co-fermented

Harvest: The grapes were harvested September 29, 2016.  Brix:  24.6,  Acidity:  0.56,  pH:  3.60

Oak Aging:  22 months in 60% new French oak barrels from Treuil cooperage (i.e. Allier and Troncais).

Organic:  All fruit is organically grown in our estate vineyard.

This is a wine of elegance and finesse that fulfills our intentions; to reflect the style of wine that typifies Bordeaux varietals without any one dominating. The grapes from each varietal going into this dynamic wine are selected from specific areas throughout the vineyard based on meticulous planning and consistent farming techniques to encourage synchronous ripening. When the intersection of the three varietals’ ripeness is optimized, all varietals are picked and fermented together.

The wine is a rich, deep burgundy in the glass, with perfumed aromas of malted milk chocolate, black plum, and red cherry, with hints of saddle leather and wild fennel. The tannins are elegant and long, framing layered flavors of dark chocolate, ripe cherries, espresso, black currant, and the sweet spiciness of a black mission fig.

This offers some intense and rich aromas of blackcurrants with violet-like florals and blackberries. The palate offers a smooth, bold and balanced array of ripe dark plums and long, succulent tannins. A blend of cabernet sauvignon, cabernet franc and merlot.
