Volker Eisele Family Estate remains a family endeavor. Alexander and Catherine Eisele tend the estate with the same dedication to authenticity, sustainability and quality that defined Volker and Liesel’s vision. They carry forward a tradition rooted in family, community, and respect for the land.
Alexander Eisele grew up among the vines, developing a love for wine from an early age. Fluent in German and Spanish and holding a degree in International Business, he blends global perspective with deep local roots. Alexander continues his father’s legacy, leading the family estate with a focus on organic farming and crafting elegant, estate-grown wines.
Catherine Eisele, a Napa native, has been surrounded by vineyards and wine culture since childhood. With a degree in Global Studies, extensive travel, and professional experience in St. Helena, she has been prepared well to wear many hats from sales and marketing to educating and inspiring. Her conversational grace and ready laugh complement her focus on building the business for the next generation of the Eisele family.
Christiane Eisele, MD also grew up among the vines with her brother, Alexander. Her love of wine led her to complete a degree in Fermentation Science and Enology at UC Davis. From there she moved on to Tulane School of Medicine and now specializes in Emergency Medicine in California. While she is following a career in medicine, she still finds time to indulge her passion for wine and to assist her wine-making family.
Raised in Sonoma Valley, Molly Lippitt grew up immersed in the world of wine, often visiting her father who worked at Sebastiani Vineyards. After earning her first job in the winery lab, she built her craft alongside renowned winemakers like Heidi Barrett, Philippe Melka, and Mike Hirby. With experience at Paradigm, Moone-Tsai, Duckhorn, and international work in New Zealand, Molly brings a wealth of expertise and passion to her role as winemaker at Volker Eisele Family Estate.
Pedro Nevarez is a second-generation foreman, farming with us since 1980. The friendship with the Nevarez Family dates back to 1974, when Volker and Liesel met Pedro’s uncle, Jose Nevarez. Since then, three generations of the Nevarez family have farmed the land with us. Our year-round vineyard crew is a tight knit team that meticulously tends the vines implementing farming techniques that produce high quality organic wine grapes.
In 1974 Volker (1937-2015) and Liesel Eisele settled in the Napa Valley and began an extensive restoration and replating program transforming the estate into a thriving vineyard. Volker became a pioneer of organic grape growing and a major force behind Napa Valley’s Agricultural Preserve. Liesel had a successful 40-year career as a Landscape Architect. Together, they built the foundation of Volker Eisele Family Estate, blending respect for the land with a vision for timeless wines.
